About this campaign

For their entire lives, these beagles have known cages. No soft beds. No grass under their paws. No toys. No families. No one whispering that they are safe. They were born inside Ridglan Farms, one of the nation’s most controversial commercial beagle breeding facilities, where thousands of dogs have been raised for laboratory research and testing. For years, Ridglan has been the focus of heartbreaking allegations, investigations, and public outcry over the suffering of the dogs inside.

And now, after all this time… Twenty of those beagles are coming to Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation. Twenty souls who have never known what it means to simply be someone’s dog. We have committed to taking them in, holding them for the very first time, and guiding them through the terrifying but beautiful journey from laboratory survivor to beloved family member. But saying yes to them means saying yes to an enormous amount of medical and rehabilitative care.

These dogs are arriving in just days, and they will each need:

❤️ spay/neuter surgeries

❤️ core vaccines

❤️ heartworm testing

❤️ parasite treatment

❤️ medications as needed

❤️ nutritious food, beds, crates, leashes, and essentials

These beagles have spent their lives in confinement with little normal handling, little environmental stimulation, and none of the experiences companion dogs know. Some may arrive frightened. Some medically compromised. All of them will need patience, safety, and extensive care as they learn that the world can be kind.

This is where you come in. Saving Sage cannot transform the lives of 20 laboratory beagles alone. The intake costs for this many dogs at once are staggering, and every single dollar will go toward helping these survivors become healthy, adoption-ready, and finally able to begin real lives.

And there is something even bigger at stake: If we can secure enough foster homes and enough funding, we may be able to say yes to even more.

That means more beagles out. More cages emptied. More lives changed forever.

We urgently need: FOSTERS. DONORS. SHARES. ALL HANDS ON DECK.

Please help us welcome these beagles with the care they have been denied their entire lives. Together, we can make their first chapter of freedom one filled with warmth, healing, and love. Donate today and help us show these 20 beagles what a good life feels like.

5/15/26 Update

We are beyond excited to share that all of our Ridglan Farms rescue beagles are now safely settled into foster homes — and they are already beginning to discover the joys of being loved.

For the first time in their lives, these sweet dogs are experiencing soft beds, warm homes, gentle cuddles, toys, open spaces, and the simple comfort of feeling safe. Watching them learn how to play, relax, and seek affection has been nothing short of incredible.

These beagles spent their entire lives inside a breeding and testing facility, deprived of the experiences every dog deserves. Many had never touched grass, curled up on a couch, or known what it felt like to be cherished by a family. Now, little by little, their personalities are shining through. Some are discovering toys with curiosity and excitement. Others are soaking up every cuddle they can get. Every tail wag, every nap in a cozy bed, and every moment of trust feels like a victory.

But while they are finally safe, their journey is still just beginning. These dogs continue to need extensive veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgeries, vaccines, diagnostics, medications, and ongoing rehabilitation as they adjust to life outside the laboratory environment.

Your support is what made it possible to say yes to these beagles. And with so many medical and care expenses still ahead, we urgently need continued help to give them the futures they deserve.

Please consider donating to support their ongoing care and recovery. Every dollar helps provide medical treatment, supplies, nutritious food, and the loving support these survivors need as they learn what it truly means to be free.
