Collegeville, PA

Bailey came into our lives looking for a home, we already had two Jack Russels,Bella and Peanut. Bailey has brought love and happiness to all of our lives. She is always a happy loving being that has taught all of us to appreciate life and to be happy about even the smallest events. Her daily routine began with giving kisses and greeting everyone. My heart cries out for many more years, Bailey is at Metropolitan Veterinary. She was hit by a car. Her first 24 hours proved to show very good improvements for her vitals and state of consciousness. She is very aware of us and wants to come home. She has a fracture to the left femur, right hip is dislocated from the socket, her spine has a shift at T9-T10. The are going to check for spinal malaysia, for the next 24-48 hrs. Bailey has two little sisters which love to play with her. She always tries to get them to play, trampling over them to make them chase her. She loves to play in the snow, jumping around in it, trying to push us down so she could lick us. Whenever her two little sisters got into bouts, she would always try and separate them. She is a loving, dog who would always try and play with anybody she could The last 8 yr since my cancer treatments, have been an uphill battle, for my health, the people that I love along with my financial position in life, all of this has been improving. Bailey who is an inspiration of life needs help now. She defines love to all that know her

Jockey

Jockey is a 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Wilmington, DE, who needs $9,200 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy.

Wilmington, DE

We met our puppy through the Foster Tales classroom puppy program, where children helped care for the rescue pups and read to them each day. After fostering him several times, he became part of our hearts and family. When we heard someone else wanted to adopt him, we knew we couldn't let him go. His name was inspired by the Kentucky Derby. He had 3 other litter mates named, Derby, Winnie, & Julep. Jockey is being treated at Red Lion Veterinary Hospital after being diagnosed with bilateral cranial cruciate disease in both knees. Our once playful puppy is now struggling to walk without pain. He needs orthopedic surgery to run, play, and live comfortably again. We are doing everything we can to give him the healthy future he deserves. Jockey isn't just our dog-he is family. He's our snuggle bug who always finds his way next to us on the couch. The moment he hears "peanut butter" or "cheese" he comes running. He loves walks and being by our side, and watching him unable to do the things he loves has been heartbreaking. He truly completes our home. We do not have pet insurance or savings set aside for an emergency of this magnitude. Each of Jockey's knees requires surgery costing $4600 each with a 12-week recovery for each procedure. The total cost is overwhelming, but we are committed to helping him get pain-free.

Zyla

At Just One Year Old, Zyla Needs Double Hip Surgery

Centre, AL • Summit’s Sanctuary

Zyla should be spending her days running, playing, and enjoying all the joys of puppyhood. Instead, this sweet girl is facing a painful battle with severe genetic hip dysplasia. Every step is a struggle. Walking, running, playing, and even resting comfortably have become increasingly difficult as her condition progresses. While most one year old puppies are discovering the world around them, Zyla is living with chronic pain that will only worsen without surgical intervention. Heartbreakingly, Zyla's sister, Zora, also suffered from severe hip dysplasia. Now Zyla is facing the same difficult journey. After evaluating her condition, veterinarians confirmed that Zyla urgently needs double hip surgery to give her the opportunity for a normal, active, pain-free life. Without treatment, her mobility and quality of life will continue to decline. Despite everything she is facing, Zyla remains full of love, trust, and joy. She greets each day with a wagging tail and a spirit that refuses to be defined by her pain. The cost of the surgery and associated medical care is a significant expense for Summit's Sanctuary, a volunteer-driven rescue dedicated to helping animals in need. This fundraiser will help cover Zyla's surgery, medications, and recovery care so she can heal properly and finally experience the carefree life every puppy deserves. Your donation directly supports the medical treatment that can change the course of Zyla's future. Every gift, no matter the size, brings her one step closer to running, playing, and growing up without constant pain. Thank you for helping Summit's Sanctuary give this brave young dog the chance at a healthier, happier future. 7/15/26 Update: An Update on Sweet Zyla: Hope for Her Future Despite everything she is facing, Zyla continues to greet each day with the joyful spirit everyone loves about her. She still enjoys playing, exploring, and soaking up all the love around her, reminding everyone just how resilient she is. As part of her ongoing care, Zyla will undergo an additional evaluation with Summit Sanctuary's trusted veterinarian, who works directly with the orthopedic surgeon that has previously treated other dogs from the rescue. This additional consultation is made possible by the generous support Zyla has received and will help ensure the best treatment plan is in place while providing further guidance on the next steps in her care. The goal has always been to give Zyla the opportunity to enjoy a long, happy life without relying on daily pain medication. Every decision being made is focused on giving her the healthiest, happiest future possible. As Zyla's journey continues, her sister Zora has recovered beautifully after completing both of her hip surgeries. Seeing Zora's progress continues to bring hope for what lies ahead for Zyla. Thank you for continuing to stand beside Zyla and Summit's Sanctuary. Your generosity is helping ensure she receives the evaluations, treatment, and ongoing care needed to give her the brightest future possible. Another update will be shared following Zyla's orthopedic consultation.

20 Beagles Are Finally Leaving a Life of Confinement — Help Us Show Them Freedom

Lauderhill, FL • Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation, Inc.

For their entire lives, these beagles have known cages. No soft beds. No grass under their paws. No toys. No families. No one whispering that they are safe. They were born inside Ridglan Farms, one of the nation’s most controversial commercial beagle breeding facilities, where thousands of dogs have been raised for laboratory research and testing. For years, Ridglan has been the focus of heartbreaking allegations, investigations, and public outcry over the suffering of the dogs inside. And now, after all this time… Twenty of those beagles are coming to Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation. Twenty souls who have never known what it means to simply be someone’s dog. We have committed to taking them in, holding them for the very first time, and guiding them through the terrifying but beautiful journey from laboratory survivor to beloved family member. But saying yes to them means saying yes to an enormous amount of medical and rehabilitative care. These dogs are arriving in just days, and they will each need: ❤️ spay/neuter surgeries ❤️ core vaccines ❤️ heartworm testing ❤️ parasite treatment ❤️ medications as needed ❤️ nutritious food, beds, crates, leashes, and essentials These beagles have spent their lives in confinement with little normal handling, little environmental stimulation, and none of the experiences companion dogs know. Some may arrive frightened. Some medically compromised. All of them will need patience, safety, and extensive care as they learn that the world can be kind. This is where you come in. Saving Sage cannot transform the lives of 20 laboratory beagles alone. The intake costs for this many dogs at once are staggering, and every single dollar will go toward helping these survivors become healthy, adoption-ready, and finally able to begin real lives. And there is something even bigger at stake: If we can secure enough foster homes and enough funding, we may be able to say yes to even more. That means more beagles out. More cages emptied. More lives changed forever. We urgently need: FOSTERS. DONORS. SHARES. ALL HANDS ON DECK. Please help us welcome these beagles with the care they have been denied their entire lives. Together, we can make their first chapter of freedom one filled with warmth, healing, and love. Donate today and help us show these 20 beagles what a good life feels like. 5/15/26 Update We are beyond excited to share that all of our Ridglan Farms rescue beagles are now safely settled into foster homes — and they are already beginning to discover the joys of being loved. For the first time in their lives, these sweet dogs are experiencing soft beds, warm homes, gentle cuddles, toys, open spaces, and the simple comfort of feeling safe. Watching them learn how to play, relax, and seek affection has been nothing short of incredible. These beagles spent their entire lives inside a breeding and testing facility, deprived of the experiences every dog deserves. Many had never touched grass, curled up on a couch, or known what it felt like to be cherished by a family. Now, little by little, their personalities are shining through. Some are discovering toys with curiosity and excitement. Others are soaking up every cuddle they can get. Every tail wag, every nap in a cozy bed, and every moment of trust feels like a victory. But while they are finally safe, their journey is still just beginning. These dogs continue to need extensive veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgeries, vaccines, diagnostics, medications, and ongoing rehabilitation as they adjust to life outside the laboratory environment. Your support is what made it possible to say yes to these beagles. And with so many medical and care expenses still ahead, we urgently need continued help to give them the futures they deserve. Please consider donating to support their ongoing care and recovery. Every dollar helps provide medical treatment, supplies, nutritious food, and the loving support these survivors need as they learn what it truly means to be free.

Rocky

Please help Rocky fight for his life after being severely burned.

Harrisburg, PA • Castaway Critters, The James A. Hueholt Memorial Foundation for Animals

Meet Rocky, a 9-month-old Terrier who survived a devastating house fire. Nearly 70% of his body is burned, and despite unimaginable pain, this sweet boy is fighting with everything he has. Rocky is receiving around-the-clock emergency care at Shores Veterinary Emergency Center. He is on a feeding tube, IV fluids, antibiotics, pain medication, and intensive burn wound care. His eyes are covered in painful ulcers from the fire, and every round of medications and treatment takes nearly two hours. Rocky's owner was unable to take on the enormous cost of his care, so when Shores asked if Castaway Critters could step in, they immediately said yes. They wouldn't let this baby lose his life simply because the cost of saving him was too high. His care has already started with an $8,000 estimate, and they know the road ahead will be long. But the veterinary team is seeing small signs of progress and believes Rocky has a chance at a full recovery. Rocky lost his home and everything he knew. Now, he needs you. Please help us give this brave little boy the chance he deserves. Every donation will help provide the emergency care keeping him alive. If you can't donate, please share his story. We promise to love Rocky through every step of his recovery. Hang on, Rocky. Your new beginning starts now. Thank you for your continued support.

Luci Can't Tell Us Why She Struggles to Breathe. A CT Scan Can

Astoria, NY • Foster Cats Collective of Queens, Inc.

When Luci came to Foster Cats Collective of Queens, her feeder was concerned about more than just her friendly personality. Luci's breathing was noticeably abnormal, producing audible snorting and wheezing sounds that could be heard even from a distance. An initial veterinary exam confirmed that Luci was otherwise in good health. She had been TNR'd previously, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and showed no obvious signs of illness beyond her concerning breathing issues. Hoping the problem was caused by an infection, her veterinarian prescribed a course of doxycycline. Unfortunately, the treatment made no difference. After Luci had time to settle into foster care, she returned for additional testing. Veterinarians carefully examined her ears, nose, and throat for polyps or other visible obstructions that could explain her symptoms, but again, no answers were found. Luci continues to experience nasal stridor on inspiration, an abnormal breathing sound that occurs when she inhales, especially when she becomes stressed. Without advanced diagnostics, we are left guessing about the cause. The underlying issue could be something relatively manageable, or it could be a structural abnormality, chronic disease process, or other condition that may worsen over time if left undiagnosed. Until we can identify the cause, we cannot determine the best course of treatment or know what Luci's future holds. Her veterinarian has recommended pursuing advanced diagnostics, including a cranial CT scan. Luci has handled every exam, test, and vet visit with incredible patience and resilience. Despite the uncertainty surrounding her condition, she remains a sweet, trusting cat who deserves the chance to breathe comfortably and live without unanswered medical concerns hanging over her future. Foster Cats Collective of Queens is raising funds to help cover the cost of Luci's specialty consultation and advanced imaging. These diagnostics are our best opportunity to finally uncover the cause of her breathing difficulties and determine what treatment she may need moving forward. Please consider donating to Luci's campaign. Your support can help us get the answers she desperately needs and ensure that a potentially serious condition does not go untreated. 7/29/26 Update We're happy to share a positive update on sweet Luci! Luci is settling in beautifully in what we hope will be her forever home. Her new family wanted to give her time to adjust before moving forward with additional vet appointments, allowing her to feel safe and comfortable in her new surroundings first. She has made wonderful progress. Luci is exploring more of the house, peacefully coexisting with the resident cat, Lizzie, and even spending quiet evenings near her new mom, sharing slow blinks during reading time. While a large hairball briefly caused a setback and sent her back under the bed for a few days, she quickly regained her confidence and has continued coming out to explore. Although Luci's signature snuffling and noisy breathing are still present, they haven't dampened her sweet personality. We love her just as she is, but we also want to make sure there's nothing more serious causing her breathing difficulties. Her specialty consultation is scheduled in August. During that appointment, the veterinary team will evaluate her condition and make plans for the cranial CT scan that will hopefully provide the answers everyone has been searching for. Thank you to everyone who has supported Luci's journey so far. Your generosity is helping Foster Cats Collective of Queens get her one step closer to a diagnosis and, hopefully, the treatment she needs to breathe more comfortably for years to come.

Melbin

Help Melbin See a Brighter Future

NY, NY • NY Cat Warriors

Melbin’s story began when this young stray cat wandered into someone’s home in New York City looking for help. He was brought to the ACC, where staff quickly realized something was seriously wrong with his eye. As his condition worsened, ACC sent an urgent New Hope rescue plea asking for help for a cat with a very deep corneal ulcer requiring specialty care. NY Cat Warriors stepped in to rescue Melbin and immediately pursued specialty ophthalmology treatment. Veterinary Eye Center diagnosed a severe corneal ulcer and descemetocele affecting his right eye — a painful and potentially blinding condition that placed the eye at risk of rupture. In addition to his eye condition, Melbin was also found to have a heart murmur and abnormal cardiac testing; he required cardiology evaluation before surgery could safely proceed. NY Cat Warriors has already funded emergency ophthalmology care, medications, cardiology consultation, echocardiogram, and corneal surgery in order to save Melbin’s eye and relieve his pain. Despite everything he has endured, Melbin has continued to show what a gentle and resilient cat he is. The shy shelter cat who once hid in the back of his kennel has transformed into an affectionate lap cat with a relentless purr. He rolls onto his back for attention and rubs his nose against his foster mom’s face. He has been through an extraordinary amount in a very short time, but he remains loving, trusting, and deeply connected to people. We know that once he has fully healed, Melbin will make an incredible companion for a very lucky family. We are raising funds to help cover the substantial cost of Melbin’s specialty medical care so he can continue healing safely and eventually find the calm, loving home he deserves. 6/10/26 Update Melbin's surgery went smoothly, and he is now recovering under close supervision from his foster family and veterinary team. While we are encouraged by his progress so far, we are remaining cautiously optimistic. Earlier in his treatment, Melbin appeared to be improving before his condition unexpectedly worsened, so we know there are no guarantees. He is heading in the right direction, but he still has important healing ahead of him. One challenge has been convincing this energetic 2 year old that recovery requires rest. Despite his recent surgery, Melbin would much rather spend his days climbing, jumping, and exploring than taking it easy. His foster family has even had to rearrange furniture to make his environment safer while he heals. He is receiving eye drops and medications several times a day and is not shy about expressing his feelings about them. Thankfully, his moments of outrage are short lived, and he quickly returns to seeking attention, pets, and belly rubs. Melbin will return to his surgeon soon for his recheck. Until then, we are watching him closely and hoping for continued improvement. Throughout everything he has endured, Melbin has remained a loving, social cat. The staff at Veterinary Eye Center have become some of his biggest fans, and he continues to charm everyone he meets. Thank you to everyone who has supported Melbin's care thus far. Your donations have made it possible for him to receive the specialty treatment, surgery, medications, and follow up care he needs. We look forward to sharing more news after his upcoming appointment. 6/20/26 Update We’re happy to share that Melbin continues to make encouraging progress. At his most recent recheck appointment, his veterinary team was pleased with how his eye is healing. One of the biggest milestones so far is that Melbin has finally been cleared to stop wearing his cone, a change that has made this active young cat very happy. While this is an important step forward, Melbin is not out of the woods yet. He still requires ongoing monitoring and follow up care to ensure his eye continues healing properly and that no complications arise as he recovers from his surgery. His medical team will continue to watch his progress closely in the weeks ahead. Now that the cone is gone, Melbin’s personality is shining brighter than ever. He is thrilled to have a little more freedom and is making up for lost time with plenty of exploring, playing, and seeking attention from his foster family. Through every stage of this difficult journey, he has remained a loving, affectionate cat who wins over everyone he meets. Melbin has already undergone extensive specialty care, including emergency ophthalmology treatment, advanced diagnostics, cardiology evaluation, surgery, medications, and multiple follow-up appointments. While we are incredibly grateful for the progress he has made, the costs associated with his treatment and recovery continue to add up. Your support is what made this lifesaving care possible. If you are able to donate or share Melbin’s fundraiser, please consider helping us continue to cover the expenses of his specialty treatment and ongoing recovery. Every contribution helps ensure that Melbin can receive the care he needs as he continues healing and moves closer to the bright future he deserves. Thank you for being part of Melbin’s journey. We look forward to sharing more updates as he continues making progress. 8/10/26 Update We have some happy news to share: Melbin is thriving! After everything this young cat went through, it is hard to believe how different he looks today. The shy, fearful stray who arrived at NYC ACC with a devastating eye injury is now recovering happily in his foster to adopt home. He is playing, climbing, exploring, cuddling, and doing all the things a normal two year old cat should be doing. Most importantly, his eye is healing well, and he is no longer living in the constant pain and danger that brought him into our rescue. We are still watching him carefully to make sure his exuberance doesn’t cause any damage to his eye, but his veterinary team is very encouraged by his progress and tells us that he is on the right path toward a full recovery. W hile we are deeply grateful that Melbin's medical crisis is behind him, there is still one important part of his story left: the bill. It turns out this handsome boy is not a cheap date. Melbin's specialty medical care ultimately cost nearly $8,000, including emergency ophthalmology care, diagnostics, cardiology evaluation, surgery, medications, and follow-up treatment. Thanks to everyone who has donated so far, we have raised approximately $1,800 through Waggle. That means NY Cat Warriors is still responsible for a substantial portion of the cost of saving Melbin's eye. So today, we're asking for help not because Melbin is still in crisis but because he made it through. Every donation helps us cover the medical care that gave this sweet cat the chance to become the happy, affectionate companion he is today. If you donated earlier in Melbin's journey, thank you. You helped make this outcome possible. And if you haven't had a chance to contribute yet, it's not too late to be part of his happy ending. Please consider donating or sharing Melbin's campaign. From a painful eye injury and an urgent rescue plea to a happy cat lounging, playing, and cuddling in his foster to adopt home. This is what your support made possible.
