4 Mamas and 14 Kitten is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Harrisburg, PA, who needs $2,000 for treatment.

Behind a bar in York City, in a hazardous alley littered with broken glass and filth, four mama cats—Honor, Liberty, Justice, and Dawn—were doing their best to protect their 14 babies, ranging from 3 days old to 5 weeks. Castaway Critters came to the rescue and had to lay cardboard to trap them safely.

Honor, one of the mothers, gave everything she had for her babies. Tragically, she developed severe mastitis that turned septic. Despite emergency care, her body couldn’t fight anymore, and they had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go.

Dawn, another mama, was found barely clinging to life and with only two teeth remaining. She’s now safe, resting, and receiving care, but she and all the others are still in fragile condition.

Thankfully, the other two mamas and all the kittens are getting proper medical attention, a safe place to heal, and lots of love. The entire group is being treated with Clavamox and Revolution to fight infections and parasites. Their road to recovery is just beginning.
