About this campaign

My beloved dog, Abbey, has been my unwavering support and safety. At just 5 years old, she's full of energy and life. Recently, Abbey started limping, and after a visit to the vet and some X-rays, we discovered she has hip dysplasia in her left hip.

The news was devastating. The required surgery is estimated to cost between $8,000 and $12,000—an amount far beyond my reach .

My Abbey has hip dysplasia in her left hip after being seen at the Stuart Sound Vet Clinic here in Stuart. She will be required to have surgery. She will be going to Med Vet in Jupiter, Fl on March 6th to see what exactly needs to be done in regards to surgery.

I love Abbey with all my heart, and it breaks me to see her in pain. She is a great companion that helps to keep me calm. This surgery is critical for her to live a full and happy life, without the constant pain that hip dysplasia brings. Abbey is my last dog, and I cannot bear to watch her suffer when I know there's a solution.

I am a retired 69-year-old living on Social Security with a lot of health problems. Like many in the working class, I'm struggling with the basics of life, from insurance to mortgage payments.
