About this campaign
Abby is my furry daughter. She was a rescue who survived a near-fatal attack in the shelter. When found, she needed emergency surgery and was given a 50/50 chance to live. She chose life. Once physically recovered, she displayed severe trauma symptoms and was returned at least twice. We were able to calm her fears over several months using exposure therapy, scent familiarity and vocal soothing.
Due to her past trauma, Abby is now suffering from a severely dislocated hip. The experts at the Ohio State University say the only fix is total replacement surgery which is $8,000 - $11,000. We are aggressively applying to every available grant and corporate sponsor I can find. Abby deserves to be pain-free. 100% of Waggle funds go directly to OSU for her care.
Abby has overcome unimaginable trauma and still manages to be the sweetest, goofiest girl I've ever met. She "sings" and when my depression has gotten really bad, to the point where I didn't want to get out of bed, she would sas me. She loves to play with my dad and my wife, "wrestling" and slapping the ground with her paws. She sasses then to her their attention too.
Abby is my adopted daughter and ESA. I recently got married and it's been a transition. Abby fell down the stairs in our rental contributing to her current condition. I only make $22k but have always managed before now. I can't afford this & I feel like I've failed my girl.
