Abby is a 11 year old Mix-Breed in Rush Springs, OK, who needs $1,500 for Splenectomy.

Abby came into our lives when we found her dumped as a puppy on a back road. So sad and shivering, we took her in immediately and that was 11 years ago. She was/is our baby. Since then we have adopted 2 more sweet dogs. We came up with the name Abby by pulling up a list of names and just started going down the alphabet and when we got to Abby, it was perfect for her.

I noticed Abby had lost a few pounds, which she didn’t need to lose) but her appetite was the same and nothing else had changed about her besides the weight loss. I took her to my vet at Marlow Veterinary Clinic and he did blood work that said she was anemic which prompted him to do an ultrasound and that is how we found out about the softball size tumor on her spleen.

Abby is a protector. She will love and protect you with all her heart. The absolute sweetest girl. She is terrified of storms but once they are gone she loves to go exploring. We have 2 small children that love her dearly.

This was definitely an unexpected, sudden major expense with absolutely no emergency funds for it. She is our baby and I just cannot give up on her. If she does not get the surgery, she will only have months to live and that’s not ok with our family.
