Ace came into my life through a simple Facebook post from someone who could no longer care for him. Something about him immediately pulled at my heart, and without hesitation, I took him in. After losing my husband, Ace became more than a pet. He became my comfort, my shadow, and a source of love during one of the hardest chapters of my life.

After Mother’s Day with my mom, I noticed Ace struggling to breathe and rushed him to ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital Pasadena. He was diagnosed with pyothorax and a collapsed lung from severe infection buildup. Today they performed emergency chest surgery to remove the infection. He made it through surgery and is now recovering, but bills have exceeded $25k.
