When 15 Chihuahuas were surrendered from a single home to a rural animal shelter, they arrived carrying far more than uncertainty. Many had gone years without the veterinary care they desperately needed, and several were suffering from untreated medical conditions.

Among them were Addie and Francine, two senior dogs now safely in the care of Miri's Haven Senior Dog Rescue. While they have finally left their past behind, they each have a long road to recovery before they can begin the next chapter of their lives.

Both Addie and Francine urgently need comprehensive medical care, including chest X-rays, mammary tumor removal with biopsies, dental procedures, and spay surgeries. These treatments are essential not only to relieve pain and improve their quality of life but also to determine whether their tumors are benign or cancerous and to give them the best chance at a healthy future.

For years, these sweet girls likely lived without the routine veterinary care every dog deserves. Yet despite everything they've been through, they remain gentle, resilient, and ready to trust the people who are finally giving them the love they have always deserved.
