Aigis is a 8-year-old Great Pyrenees Mix in Cleveland, TX, who needs $900 for Mass Removal and Closing Wound.

I got Aigis when she was about eight weeks old from someone selling a her and her litter mates. Bought her with a winning lottery ticket ($10). I felt bad for her as she seemed lethargic and was riddled, absolutely covered in fleas. Brought her home and gave her a bath immediately, had to hold her head up she was so tired. She took a nice long cozy nap after that.

She now has a nice fenced in yard to roam around and patrol (as pyrenees’ often do) with clovers to roll in. Aigis mainly chills all day, the perfect couch potato and movie buddy. She loves walks, likes to grab and throw the leash at you when she wants to go out. She’s very smart and learns quickly, knows how doors worked since she was 2 months old.

Aigis loves to lay in and splash in her kiddy pool, she literally digs and slaps the water. I love the way she sounds when she’s suspicious of things, a quiet ruff as if with a questioning tone. The way she deliberately just slides off the couch and onto the cool floor when she gets too warm. Her little “come on, let’s go, follow me” barks are adorable. She’s saved me from a cottonmouth before.

Aigis needs surgery on an open wound. It started as a small mass and quickly grew, stretching and tearing her skin open. She was rushed to an ER and they were able to remove half the mass but the wound remains open and requires further surgery to remove the rest of the mass and heal properly. I’m currently changing her bandages daily but we’ve run out of antibiotics to help prevent infections.

The company I worked for was sold and absolved. Everyone was let go and I’ve been struggling to find a job since. I’m not one to ask for help, especially from strangers but I absolutely cannot afford this on my own. Any help, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated
