Aiko Haru is a 7 month old German Shepherd Dog in rogers, AR, who needs $5,222 for Surgery and Meds.

When Aiko first came into our lives on May 19th, she was just a six-month-old puppy abandoned in a box on the side of the freeway. My mother spotted her while driving and safely rescued her before bringing her home.

Shortly after, Aiko suddenly became very sick. She began vomiting and had bloody diarrhea and couldn't eat or drink. All local vets were closed for Memorial Day except for the Animal Emergency and Specialty Center of Northwest Arkansas(AES). From May 22nd through May 27th, Aiko was hospitalized and treated for Acute Hemorrhagic Diarrhea Syndrome (AHDS). She required IV's, medication, and surgery.

On May 12th our dog of 12 years Kiba passed away, only days before Aiko came into our lives. We see Kiba's eyes when we see Aiko. We believe Kiba lead Aiko to us. Both dogs were rescued from tragic situations. In Aiko we see Kiba, her sweet and shy demeanor, her verbal exchanges, and her endearing love of her family. We love Aiko deeply just as we loved Kiba before her.

Just days after paying Kiba's final vet bill Aiko came into our lives and required emergency medical treatment for several days. This treatment saved her live, but her extended stay resulted in substantial medical bills. Any contribution would mean the world to us.
