Rescued From Abuse: Help Aira Recover and Hold Abuser Accountable

Aira’s life changed in an instant.

A kind neighbor witnessed a man brutally beating two tiny stray puppies in the street. Their cries echoed through the neighborhood — desperate, terrified, and pleading for help. Our Baw Baw rescue team rushed to the scene. One puppy managed to escape in fear, but we were able to save the other. That puppy is Aira.

When we reached her, Aira was trembling in shock. Her back legs were limp, and she could barely move. Right now, she urgently needs X-rays, intensive veterinary care, and the quiet, gentle time required to recover from both physical trauma and emotional devastation.

No puppy should ever go through what she endured.

We helped the witness file a police report against the abuser, and we are committed to pursuing the case in court to ensure he receives the maximum punishment. Aira deserves justice — and a chance at a life filled with safety and compassion.
