Akoda is out teddy bear fluffy dog. She was my husband's dream dog. He always wanted a big dog, and she was the smartest Newfy Mountain dog in the cute litter. She is a momma dog to my three kids and the sweetest girl. She has been by our side for her full 9 years of life and has been a partner in crime to my three kids as they have all grown. Akoda is an attention loving pup.

Akoda started to show signs of not feeling well a few days ago. We took her to the vet and got some anti-nausea medications and were hopeful she would be better. Blood work came back and said she is having kidney issues and will need IV fluids for a few days. We want to support her, but can only afford so much.

Akoda is a "booper." She will seek out attention by booping you with her nose and placing your hand on her head. She loves cuddles and often snuggles with the kids at night. She is a lover, but also mouthy as she smacks her lips to get your attention. She is quite the character.

This year has been a hard financial year with a fall resulting in months of therapy for myself, a death in the family, my father had a stroke, a water heater replacement, two sets of tires had to be replaced, and two car accidents. This year has been unexpectantly difficult.
