About this campaign

We got Alaska as a friend for our other husky, Aspen. We got him when he was 8 weeks old and he makes our lives exciting. We adore him. He is always exploring and has made our family complete. He is currently in need of emergency surgery to remove a foreign object from his small intestine.

I consider Alaska to be one of my children. My children love him and he is a member of the family. Alaska goes everywhere we go. He loves car rides. He loves coming to work with me, He loves his sister, Aspen. Where one goes, the other always follows. She has been with him every moment of his life and I don't know what she would do without him.

Alaska's surgery is estimated to cost upwards of $5900. I have 4 children that I support on my own and do not have the extra money to be able to afford this. It would be absolutely heartbreaking to have to say goodbye to him. My children and I would be devastated.

Alaska wasn't acting like himself yesterday. He wouldn't eat, drink or play or be naughty, so I knew something was wrong. I called the vet and they said to try bland foods- which he also wouldn't take. I took him to the vet this morning and they did blood work and x rays and said he has a foreign object obstructing his small intestine and requires emergency surgery.

Alaska is a Siberian Husky so he is a talker. When he wants something you will know it because it will start howling until he gets his way. He has piercing blue eyes and is the cutest puppy ever. He often runs the fence with our neighbors dog and is always exploring and looking for ways to get himself into trouble.
