About this campaign
Aleister is my emotional support animal, best friend. His nick-name is Poopy- his preferance, not mine! He has been with me 13 of his almost 14 years of life. He came into my life as being my brother's cat until he had to move abruptly, and his new living situation didn't allow for him to keep Aleister. I was so happy to take him, best gift my brother ever gave me.
As my emotional support, Aleister instinctively knows when I need him, even if we're not in the same room. He's my knight in shining armor and has gotten me through many dark times, struggles, hardships, heartbreaks, trauma, PTSD triggers, and my reason to keep going. Now HE needs support, and this fundraiser is so we can get a diagnosis in order to find how we can give HIM comfort.
Aleister is extremely friendly, social, affectionate, playful, and silly. Very talkative, and tells it like it is. His love language is rubbing noses, and he understands the concept of gift giving. He loves when I give him new toys, new bed, or even a new litterbox- as long as it's for him! It's been extremely hard to see his very vibrant personality become dimmer since he's been sick.
Aleister was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, calcium oxalate crystals in his bladder causing bleeding and urinary tract infections. In addition, he's had some breathing issues, and needs to be seen by a cardiologist, and this fundraiser is to pay for the cardiologist appointment specifically. This will be done by Mass Veterinary Services in Agawam, MA.
I am disabled/low income. So far, the vet bills total to just under $1,500. I've payed off some of that, but still working on it and can't manage anymore than that. This doesn't include his UPCOMING follow up visits, urine and thyroid tests, or the cardiologist appointment $
