Alex is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Rocklin, CA, who needs $2,000 for FHO.

I found Alex at the Placer SPCA. He was special from the moment I saw him. Hugo and I brought both Alex and Padfoot home. They have been such a joy and comfort to watch grow and see their personalities come forth. Alex serves as an emotional support animal for me.

Alex has always had a weaker hind quarter, not always able to jump on high surfaces. He recently fell from a short height and was in obvious pain. I took him to the vet and learned he broke both femurs near the head, requiring FHO surgery on both femurs.

Alex is sweet, very cuddly and loves to explore. He loves to greet anyone that visits. He is very friendly. He plays with Padfoot and loves to sit in his window perch and watch the birds.

This was definitely an unexpected major expense. My choices are to have the surgery or allow him to live in pain. I can't imagine the latter. I'd be beyond grateful for help to alleviate the financial stress it will put on us.
