About this campaign

This week, more than 60 beagles were pulled from the notorious Ridglan Farms testing facility and transported to safety in New York through a massive coordinated rescue effort between us and our trusted partners. They are finally out.

After lives spent in confinement, used for testing and denied the simple comforts every dog deserves, these beagles are experiencing freedom for the very first time. But rescue was only the beginning. Now comes the critical medical care they have long been denied.

Our first urgent plea for help is for Alexander, Joshua, Franklin, Pedro, Antonio, and Buckey— six sweet survivors who are now safely in foster care but each require immediate veterinary attention to assess the toll that years in a laboratory have taken on their bodies.

Every one of these dogs needs: Vaccinations , Spay/neuter surgery, Full bloodwork , Comprehensive diagnostics to evaluate organ function and overall health.

These are not routine intake exams we can afford to cut corners on. These are dogs who have spent their lives being used for testing. We do not know what their bodies have endured, what may have been compromised, or what hidden medical issues may still be waiting beneath the surface. So we are saying yes to every test.

We are sparing no cost when it comes to giving them the thorough care they deserve.

Transporting over 60 dogs, providing emergency intake, and beginning extensive medical work has already created enormous expenses. We cannot do this alone. Because of supporters like you, Alexander, Joshua, Franklin, Pedro, Antonio, and Buckey got their second chance.

Now we need your help to make sure that second chance includes health, healing, and the life they were always meant to have. Please donate today to support their veterinary care and help these beagles begin the journey from surviving to truly living.

5/15/26 Update

We are so happy to share a positive update on Alexander, Joshua, Franklin, Pedro, Antonio, and Buckey as they continue adjusting to life outside the research facility.

All six of our beagle boys have now successfully undergone their neuter surgeries and are recovering well in foster care. Right now, they are mostly focused on resting, healing, and figuring out how to navigate life while wearing those funny cones!

Every day, these resilient dogs continue to show us more of their sweet and loving personalities. Watching them experience simple comforts for the very first time — soft beds, toys, affection, playtime, fresh air, and the freedom to simply be dogs — has been incredibly emotional and rewarding for everyone involved in their care.

While their pasts cannot be changed, their futures finally can.

Your support is what made these surgeries, diagnostics, and ongoing medical care possible. Because of your generosity, these boys are not only safe — they are finally beginning to heal physically and emotionally after years of confinement and testing.

Please consider making a donation to help us continue saying yes to survivors like Alexander, Joshua, Franklin, Pedro, Antonio, and Buckey. Every contribution helps provide lifesaving medical care, comfort, and the chance for these dogs to finally experience the life they always deserved.

7/22/26 Update

One of the greatest privileges of rescue is witnessing the moment an animal stops merely surviving and finally begins living. When we launched this campaign, six beegles had only recently been rescued from the Ridglan Farms testing facility as part of the historic rescue of more than 60 beagles. They had spent their lives in laboratories, deprived of the love, comfort, and freedom every dog deserves. We knew their journey would only be possible with compassionate supporters like you standing beside them.

Today, thanks to your generosity, we are thrilled to share that these incredible dogs—and many of their fellow survivors from the same rescue mission—are thriving in loving homes. Their adopters have shared the beautiful milestones that remind us why rescue matters.

Theo (formerly Charlie) has settled into family life beautifully. He follows his canine brother, Loki, around the house, loves being tucked into bed every night, has discovered all kinds of new treats, gained more than three pounds, and has even developed a favorite pastime—watching TV!

Sosa has truly found her voice. She has grown into a confident, happy girl who loves treats, enjoys playing with her family's beagle, has mastered going up and down stairs, and is embracing every day with joy.

Bodhi (formerly Beau) is full of classic beagle energy. He adores his adopted brother, has gained healthy weight, completed additional medical treatment, and continues learning that the world is a safe place. While strangers can still make him a little nervous, his family is giving him all the patience and love he needs to continue healing.

Faith has adjusted wonderfully to her new life and keeps her family smiling with her endless energy. She has become best friends with another Ridglan survivor, Toby (formerly Franklin), proving just how resilient these remarkable dogs truly are.

Alexander has blossomed into a beloved companion. He now enjoys long walks, visits to the dog park, and making new canine friends every week. His confidence around people continues to grow, and his adopter couldn't be prouder of how far he has come.

Huck recently celebrated his very first birthday—a date discovered through his laboratory tattoo. After weeks of determined practice, he proudly conquered the stairs and now races up and down them with excitement, celebrating every small victory that once seemed impossible.

Reading these updates is an emotional reminder that healing isn't measured only by medical procedures or test results. It's measured by wagging tails, healthy weight gains, playful zoomies, cozy beds, first friendships, favorite treats, and the confidence to explore a world they were once denied.

Because of your support, these dogs received the comprehensive veterinary care they desperately needed after years in a research facility. Their surgeries were completed, their medical needs addressed, and their futures forever changed. Most importantly, they found what every dog deserves: families who adore them.

From all of us—and from every beagle whose life you helped transform—thank you. Your kindness gave these survivors more than medical care. You gave them safety, hope, healing, and the chance to simply be dogs.

This campaign may be coming to a close, but the impact of your generosity will last a lifetime. Thank you for believing that every animal deserves a second chance.
