Alex is my 5th MinPin, and my second little boy. My first two were probably puppy mill pups and had some medical issues. Sasha (female) had a severe heart murmur and lived to 10; Samson (Male) was my 1st male pup and my 1st sweetheart. He lived to 15. Alex came into my life because my other dogs Athena & Beauty came from a breeder. She knew how much I love my dogs. She gave me Beauty after Athena was placed with me after Sasha passed. Athena will be 11 in March. Beauty passed this last September and would have been 14 at the end of October. When Samson passed she asked me if I would be interested in another male she had and thought this would be her last litter, she wants to outlive her dogs. She also included a picture of the pup--which rather sealed the deal. Alex is my 1st show quality dog and we have strived to make the breeder, my friend & mentor proud of us both. She took him for a month to train him for conformation. He won best pup, 1st time out. I had no training in showing and he seemed to pick up on that. We shifted gears a little and we started obedience and rally. After he turned 2, I started him in agility.
