Alfie is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Petal, MS, who needs $600 for Umbilical Hernia Repair.

I got Alfie on 12/29/2023 from Hub City Humane Society while he was on display at Pet Smart. I saw a tiny kitten, with a clipped ear, that no one else would look at. Immediately, I knew he would be mine. I brought him home and he became quick brothers with my older cat, Opie. They are the best of friends.

When I got Alfie, he had a soft lump on his belly. Upon bringing him to Parkway Petal Hospital for the first time, they told me it was an umbilical hernia. I just have to watch how it does. Unfortunately, Alfie gets Upper Respiratory Infections often, & this last time they said his Hernia is not healing & will require surgery soon. Because of it’s size, bowel could get trapped and be fatal.

Alfie is a scared baby. I can’t sneeze without him running away! But he loves to be near me, he loves to cuddle. He loves playing with his big brother Opie and Opie loves holding him down to groom him. Alfie is obsessed with his Lil Soups treats (has to be the salmon kind) and the cat tunnel is his favorite toy. He is such a special boy.

I am the only provider for not only myself, but also my cats Alfie and Opie. With Alfie having Upper Respiratory Infections so often, it’s drowning me. Every vet visit is $200+. I pay all of my own bills, but I live paycheck to paycheck.
