About this campaign

My family has had Alpha since he was 7 weeks old. He was a gift for my oldest grandson and son. When my youngest grandson was born, he had many health issues so my son's family had to move closer to the children's hospital in Buffalo, NY, and couldn't take him so I took him to keep him in our family. My grandsons have a special bond with Alpha.

Alpha is the sweetest dog and best pitbull ever. He loves to play with his tug & stuffed toys. He loves to go for walks & run in the fields. Because of how gentle he is, I have been able to show people who once were against the Pitbull breed how wonderful they really are. He plays with the other dogs in our house, sleeps in my bed, and loves his boys & little girl, my grandchildren.

With everything going on today with the Covid virus and shut down, financially I can not afford this much-needed surgery for Alpha. Alpha is a big part of my family. My grandsons call him their brother. Having him healthy again is all that we wish. We love Alpha.

Alpha has a cancerous mass on his right side. I have to have it removed to see if he has more cancer. We go to see Dr. Jenny Grimshawe at Millcreek Animal Hospital in Erie, PA. He is scheduled to have surgery on Saturday, May 8, 2020. The cost is going to be anywhere from $603 to $693. The good thing is that the type he has hopefully hasn't spread but need the mass removed to find out for sure.

Alpha is such a fun dog. He has a way to make you smile with his gigantic smile. He is a talker and will sit & talk to you just because. Oh, and when he gets the pitty burst of energy, he will run circles for a good 15 minutes. He makes me laugh & get dizzy at the same time. As soon as he sees my son & grandkids, he is out the door giving them a zillion kisses and hugs.
