Alvin is a 11-year-old Shih Tzu Mix in Dallas, TX, who needs $2,000 for Tumor Removal and Dental Care.

Alvin was handed over to the local Animal Control after being found wandering by himself in Alvarado, Texas. It was immediately clear that this poor dog had been neglected and gone without care for far too long. Who knows how long this older dog, at 11 years old, was roaming deaf, blind in one eye, and his small body riddled with tumors.

When Alvin came across Pooch Savers Rescue's radar, they wasted no time in rushing to tend to Alvin. They quickly got him to their vet to assess just how poor his health was and immediately began helping him.

Alvin is a very docile dog. He is extremely thankful for his caretakers, expressing his gratitude with tail wags and begging for all the pets he can get. His spirit remains high despite what he has been through at an older age.

Alvin's most obvious issue is the large mass attached to his head, obstructing his vision, and ultimately blinded him in his left eye. He also has a very large mass that seems to be embedded in his hip joint. Alvin is in dire need of dental care. He is deaf and has a myriad of infections, all of which can be fixed with antibiotics. He is being cared for at Vetsavers Pet Hospital in Dallas, Tx.
