Ambrose is a 3 Year Old Mix-Breed in Carrboro, NC, Who Needs $2,000 for Endoscopy.

Ambrose came to our home as a kitten. He was fostered through a local animal rescue. He lives with my partner and me, along with our 13 year old cat Rory.

Ambrose has been losing weight and struggling to eat. Bloodwork and urinalysis were inconclusive, so an ultrasound was done and found a mass of "foreign material" blocking his intestine. It is large enough that it will likely require surgical removal, which cannot be performed at our usual clinic, Carrboro Plaza Vet Clinic.

Ambrose loves to cuddle with his humans and take naps on us. He is incredibly loving and sweet. He is not very talkative, but he will make some noise for Churu treats (or if he has to take a bath or go to the vet).

My partner is a student, and I work for a local non-profit organization. We make ends meet and get our pets regular care, but emergency care could be beyond what we can afford, especially after we have already paid for diagnostic care. We are hurt and in shock.
