Help Amelia Make a Full Recovery from Her Life-Saving Surgery

Amelia is a special kitten with a rare and serious medical condition called pectus excavatum, or "funnel chest." This congenital defect causes a malformed chest wall, leading to difficulty breathing, exercise intolerance, weight loss, and even life-threatening complications. Amelia’s chest was sunken, making it hard for her tiny body to get the oxygen it needed.

Thanks to the incredible team at Blue Pearl, Amelia underwent life-saving surgery on December 30th. A custom fiberglass splint was placed on her chest to reshape her ribcage and give her lungs the room they need to function properly.
