America is a 10-year-old chihuahua in Gibraltar, MI, who needs $2,000 for severe pancreantitis.

We got our beautiful girl 10 years ago from a rescue dog that was pregnant and had puppies. The kids and I had just lost my husband to suicide and she brought new life into our home. She is our absolute world. She lives with me and my kiddos and loves getting visits from my 7 year old granddaughter. She gives us joy every day of our lives

America is a very entertaining little pup. She absolutely loves my kids and grandchild. She has another dog we call Mama who is 15 and took America under her wing when we rescued her. Our dog Mama is very distraught with America being gone in the hospital because we just lost our other 17 year old dog in November to old age. We cant take another loss right now due to costs of the vet.

I am a widowed single mom and a full time college student that can barely manage the household bills. We have put everything we have toward Americas recovery and have exhausted all other options. We lost our 17 year old boy in Nov and cant bear to lose her.

America has been through a lot these last few months. A few months back she was hospitalized for liver issues. We got that all under control and this time she has been diagnosed with severe pancreantitis. She is in Blue Pearl but to keep her out of the hospital he has to have regular visits with her vet till she is well which I don’t have the funding to upkeep the future appointments.

America is a very spoiled pup. She has a way with people to make everyone and anyone hold her. Even at the animal hospital they told us she has a way with people to make everyone carry her around all day. She is happiest in someone's arm and even loves being in a baby carrier sling. Her other favorite activity besides being help is snuggling with our Mama dog in a little fort on the couch.
