About this campaign
Meet Ammo, our incredible 2-year and 9-month-old black lab who's not just a pet but an integral part of our family. We welcomed Ammo into our lives when he was just a tiny 9-week-old bundle of fur, and from that moment on, he became the beloved companion of our four children, growing up alongside them as their cherished "dog brother."
Ammo is the heartbeat of our household, he's grown alongside our four children, becoming an adored "dog brother." Ammo's loyalty knows no bounds; he's a constant companion during family outings, from camping and hunting trips to everyday errands. Ammo's connection with each family member is unique, creating a bond that goes beyond words.
Ammo's journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. At a young age, he embarked on a four-month adventure to attend duck school, showcasing his remarkable intelligence and commitment to learning. Today, he stands as a skilled and dedicated duck-hunting dog, actively participating in hunting sessions 3-5 times a week during the duck season.
Ammo's health took a sudden turn when he began acting unusually—no appetite, lack of playfulness, and a noticeable shift in behavior. Concerned, we rushed him to the vet where a diagnosis revealed a severe intestinal blockage. Urgent action was required, leading to immediate emergency surgery. The procedure involved removing 8 inches of his intestines, and Ammo has been in the emergency hospital.
Ammo's surgery has placed a significant financial burden on our family. The unexpected medical expenses have surpassed our means& we find ourselves in a pressing financial need. Having Ammo healthy again is not just about restoring joy, normalcy, & completeness to our family
