Amora is a 8-year-old Doxie in Colorado Springs, CO, who needs $2,000 for Hospitalization.

Amora came into my life 8yrs ago. She was 8 weeks old and I was taken to the breeder to pick out a puppy for my birthday. She has been my snuggle bug ever since. She lives with my husband and I in our home. She has a large back yard that she patrols and watches over daily. She is the only pet in our home.

Amora has a pet bed in every room of the house but she loves to lay on a pillow next to us on the sofa or in my lap. She sleeps in our bed between us every night. She has her own blanket on the bed and won't lay down until it's laid out. She loves to go for walks and run up and down the fence. She goes for car rides and window surfs every chance she gets. Anywhere we can take her she goes.

She has a sister (two legged) that she loves to see when she comes over and she has 2 cousins (four-legged) that she loves to play with. She loves to move her head side to side when you are talking to her, just like she's listening. She is always smiling when she's sleeping. She will tell you when it's time for bed by heading to the stairs and waiting.

Our Family Vet started treating Amora in August for jaundice and high liver enzymes. She was given an ultrasound within a week of going in. Ultrasound came back mild pancreatitis and liver looked good. Gallbladder was a little sludgy. Was put on meds and was doing fine. Today she went for follow up and everything was high. Sent to ER for liver failure.

My husband lost his job the end of August when his company completely shut down. I own my own business and I'm still growing so I don't have a full client load. To have our fur baby healthy again would mean the world to us. We just want to snuggle again.
