Meet Andy, a brave domestic shorthair whose journey has been nothing short of a medical mystery. His story is one of struggle, uncertainty, and hope—and with your help, it can be a story of survival and a second chance at life. Andy’s journey began when he suddenly started struggling to breathe and foaming at the mouth. Desperate for answers, the local shelter rushed him to the veterinary clinic.

Despite extensive diagnostics—x-rays, bloodwork, and an ultrasound—no one could determine what was wrong. All they knew for sure was that Andy was in serious distress, and his condition was rapidly declining. Unable to afford the continued care Andy needed, the shelter made the heartbreaking decision to euthanize him. But Operation Liberation couldn't let this sweet cat give up without a fight.

They took Andy to an internal medicine specialist, who believes the key to solving this medical mystery lies in a CT scan. Andy is stable for now, but the road ahead is still incredibly challenging. His foster mom has to extract air from his stomach every 6 hours to keep him comfortable. This scan—scheduled for the coming days—could finally give answers needed to save Andy.
