Andy is a 4 year old Shiba Inu in Oakland, NJ, who needs $2,000 for Surgery and Treatment.

Andy’s story began tragically, being struck by a car and left at a police station. He then ended up in a crowded shelter with no one to help him. His shattered femur left him limping on three legs.

When Ramapo-Bergen Animal Rescue was contacted, they didn’t hesitate. Andy was immediately hospitalized for pain management and emergency care. X-rays revealed his broken femur, but with orthopedic surgery and a plate, his leg was fixable. Despite his agony, Andy’s tail never stopped wagging—an incredible testament to his unyielding spirit.

After his surgery, Andy faced additional challenges. Trauma from the accident caused damage to his urethra, leading to complications that required a second surgery, a perineal urethrostomy (PU). This life-saving procedure was a success, but Andy’s recovery continues. He’ll need crate rest and devoted at-home care in the weeks ahead to heal completely.

With the help of compassionate donors like YOU, Andy received the medical care he so desperately needed, including orthopedic surgery and a second surgery for a urethral complication. His recovery wasn’t easy, but thanks to the loving support of kind-hearted people, Andy was able to heal and regain his zest for life.
