About this campaign
Our first Dachshund was a little puppy we named Frankie. I wanted Frankie to have a friend, so I went and got, Bella. Frankie and Bella has 4 puppies. We ended up keeping the runt of the litter, who is now our beloved, Anna. She is special because she is the last of our 6 dogs. We just lost her mom, Bella, last year.
Anna is a smart, yet sneaky little girl. She knows how to get her way and she knows she has me wrapped around my finger. When she wants to go in or out of a room, she scratches the door loudly until she gets her way. When she wants to come up on the couch, she scratches the couch. She's never been a verbal dog, she's got that italian in her, using her paws to communicate with us.
I am a single mother to an elementary aged child. I work full time and I've accrued this $3900 bill in the last 5 months. This isn't including the future care she is going to need, having to do more echo/ekg's every 3 months and paying for medications on a monthly basis.
My dog experienced a gastroenteritic hemorrhage in August 2020. I rushed her to the vet and I noticed she was breathing heavy. I had them check out her heart while she was there and they told me she would need to stay overnight in order to assess the situation. She ended up staying 3 nights and they told us she has a leaky heart valve and would need to live on medication.
Anna is perfectly happy on the laps of her family members, laying down and relaxing and just being petted all day long. She can never get enough love or attention. She requires very little, other than my 100% attention all day long 24/7, but I wouldn't want it any other way. She can't do any wrong in my eyes, even when she does wrong.
