Annie Oakley is a 4-year-old RedBone Hound & Shepard Mix in Saint Augustine, FL, who needs $1,750 for humerus bone surgery on right front leg.

Miss Annie Oakley is my client’s dog, her name is Michelle. I am her personal assistant. She is a disabled vet and Annie is her service animal. Michelle gathered the courage to leave her abusive boyfriend (how Annie became injured) and is moving down here to St Aug permanently. My client has used most of her funds to get out of her current situation and can not afford the treatment Annie needs.

Annie is a traveling dog! She loves adventures and Michelle has taken her on lots! Now, Annie is currently on her way down here with my client, driving to St Augustine. She will be in town tomorrow evening to permanently relocate here. They have settled on St Augustine because of the lovely people and scenery!

Annie understands us humans. You look at her and almost wonder if she was ever one herself in a past life. she is kind and empathetic. She mimics whatever mood you are in. Annie has helped the sick in hospitals and has acted as a therapy dog in substance abuse treatment centers. Her owner Michelle is always putting the needs of others before herself and it’s time for someone to do that for her.

Annie was living with Michelle in St Augustine in the summertime. Her aunt became ill so she moved back home to be close to her aunt. Unfortunately, she entered into an abusive relationship and held on for a long time. Annie ended up being shot with three buck shot wounds, targeted to kill. Annie survived but needs extensive surgery to get her well again.

Annie is Michelle’s world. They belong together. I had to make this account because Michelle doesn’t want to rely on anyone, but it’s time to show her the same kindness she shows others. Anything will help.. God bless our Vets.
