Anson was part of a community cat colony lovingly cared for by a woman named Jen, who fed over 20 outdoor cats every single day for more than 10 years. Jen was a quiet hero—dedicated, compassionate, and completely devoted to the cats she considered family.

Tragically, Jen recently passed away alone in her home, where she was not found for nearly a week. During that time, her beloved cat colony was left without food or care. To make matters even more heartbreaking, Jen had lost her partner, Anson, just eight months earlier—leaving the colony suddenly and completely without its protectors.

One cat in the colony stood out for his friendliness, but he clearly needed help. Adopt A Cat Foundation stepped in to rescue this sweet boy, who had gone without food during the week following Jen’s passing. He is thin, struggling with obvious dental disease, and in need of urgent veterinary care. In Jen’s honor, the foundation named him Anson, after her late partner.
