Anthar is a 13-year-old Tabby Cat in Sugarland , TX, who needs $1,500 for Urethra Blockage Drainage.

Anthar aka burt was adopted by a close family friend about 13 years ago he lived with that family friend for 3 years until they asked if I could adopt him. I took him in at 3 years old along with his sister. They lived with me and my family in our house in Katy. Anthar has brothers and sisters that we also have and are in good health. They have a kitty room and roam the house as they please aswell

Anthar is an old man and has always had an old soul. He loves family time and his siblings. He’s not aggressive with cats or any other animals he’s been around. A complete sweetheart with people as well. He’s a quiet and shy boy so while he loves people and animals he’ll only come super close if he feels comfortable.

Anthar is my best friend. We’ve spent the past 10 years together. We’ve both gotten over hard sicknesses together while both people each others first care giver and advocate. His nickname (Burt) that I mentioned earlier is because he rarely meows he mostly makes a cute chirp that sounds like he’s saying Burt. He’s very empathetic and always goes to the aid of animals and people in distress.

This isn’t the first time anthar has gotten sick unfortunately. He has had a block urethra before and many more health issues. We’ve gotten him treated before and he’s done well. A blockage of the urethra causes him to stop eating and drinking and causes him to pee blood. It’s very painful for him and if not treated could kill him.

I’m a student and I’ve picked up all the extra shifts I can to support him with treatment as well as helping out with family. I’ve done all I can to raise funds but unfortunately it hasn’t been enough and I wasn’t approved for a vet credit cars unfortunately. This is my last
