Anubis is our sweet and loving cat who has been with us through everything. I’m writing this with a heavy but hopeful heart because I need help to keep him healthy and by our side. Anubis came to us on 05/25/20 during the pandemic. He was a stray and we originally planned to foster him but he found his forever home with us. Anubis is gentle and deeply affectionate - he loves cuddling in sunbeams.

Anubis is currently facing a medical emergency. This isn't a condition we've been managing long-term this came suddenly and required immediate action. After noticing rapid breathing and unusual behavior, we rushed Anubis to BluePearl CA - Monterey. He was hospitalized due to a urinary blockage. He had a catheter placed and kept for observation and analysis.

Anubis is full of personality and love, the kind of cat who fills a home not just with his presence, but with his quirks and charm. He’s a talker especially when he wants cuddles. He has the sweetest little voice. He loves kisses, treats and playing with his lasers toys. Not having that energy in the house while he’s at the hospital is a painful silence.

This has been a sudden and overwhelming expense, and I’m doing everything I can to find a way to cover it, but the truth is, I’ve already exhausted my options. I’ve used up my full CareCredit limit trying to help him. I don’t have an emergency fund to fall back on right now.
