About this campaign
Anunnaki came into my life on a wintry December day. My daughter wanted to get her own cat, and had contacted a woman about adopting a kitten. She got her kitten and I got mine. When we got them, their names were Cami and Cali. My daughter kept her cats name, Cami. I renamed Cali to Anunnaki, which is Akkadian/Sumerian & references the most important deities in the Sumerian pantheon.
Anunnaki was diagnosed with pancreatitis back in 2022. A couple of months ago, she began to lose weight, drastically. We checked her feces, no worms. We fed her wet food, on top of her dry food. She still didn't gain weight. We took her to her vet, Suburban Animal Clinic, and she was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. She's required to have 2 shots of insulin a day, plus diabetic management food.
Anunnaki lives up to her name (royalty). She will lay on the floor & expect you to go around or step over her. If she's in your chair, it's her chair until she decides to get up. She loves to have her belly rubbed, & her ears scratched. Her favorite toy is a box. If there's a box, she's in it - no matter how big or small it is.
I don't work because I'm a stay at home caregiver for my mom. I'm going to do everything I can to come up with the money to get her what she needs. It would mean the world to me to have Anunnaki back to pique health, & have her playful again.
