Apollo is a 6-year-old Siberian Husky in Miami, FL, who needs $2,000 for a Transfusion Canine Plasma.

Apollo came to me through an online solicitation from a woman whose 4 huskies had just had 2 litters of puppies. As soon as I laid eyes on him I knew that this was the companion I'd so desperately wanted since I was a young boy. My family at the time was feeling the intense heartache of the void my father's absence had left behind. Receiving little 8-week old Apollo more than filled that void.

Apollo was instantly adored at home by myself, my mother, my siblings, and our schnauzer Royce. It didn't take long for Apollo to acclimate to his new home, and since then he's been nothing but a font of love, support, companionship, and joy, I should know, seeing as how I've personally raised, trained, and cared for him since then. Through Apollo, my family became whole again.

Every day that passes the bills pile up. I am a student and aspiring filmmaker and therefore don't have much money. I've exhausted all my funds but Apollo still needs treatment. Please help. He's been my greatest friend in my darkest times. He's only 6. He deserves much more

Two weeks ago we took Apollo to the vet due to constant vomiting and diarhea. A few days later he had to have a lot of sediment surgically removed from his stomach. Post-op we took him back to the vet daily for fluids and treatment, but he developed pancreatitis. Eventually we had to take him to Medical Veterinary Specialities due to bloody diarhea. He is on 24hour IV and hasnt gotten better.

You've never met a friendlier, more loving dog than Apollo. In some of my lowest points, some of my darkest times, he's always been my most loyal friend. My 13 year old brother used to fear dogs but with Apollo's love my brother came to see the beauty of these furry companions and is now no longer afraid of any dog. One of Apollo's funniest quirks are his long stories, even if its just howls.
