About this campaign

Apollo came into our life just a few months ago after rescuing him from a flea ridden home. We instantly fell in love with him and his bombastic side eye and big ole attitude. He now lives with us full time and we discovered he’s in kidney failure after taking him to the vet. He was originally diagnosed with stage 4 but after a change in diet and lots of medication he’s down to stage 3.

Apollo is a big ole mamas boy. He sleeps either spooned in my arms or curled up in a ball below my feet on the edge of the bed. He’s very shy around anybody but the two of us but with us he loves to be coddled and cuddled like the perfect baby he is.

Apollo is a talker, as anyone can expect with him being a husky he loves to scream. His favorite morning routine is the second dad’s alarm goes off to jump on top of him and howl until he gets to go outside. He has an amazing way of knowing when we are upset and just curls up on our laps when we are upset till the sadness goes away. He loves chest scratches and will tantrum if you dare stop.

After his second set of labs he has been moved down from stage 4 to stage 3 kidney failure. Our vet VCA80Dodge referred him on to an internal medicine specialist to be able to try and figure out the cause of his kidney problems.

We didn’t know he was sick when we took him in. We have already exhausted our care credit card and savings to get him the care he needs. The specialist will be roughly $800 and we are struggling to be able to afford this upcoming urgent visit.
