About this campaign
Five years ago while new to the area Archer and his 2 siblings came to me through a fostered litter, last year his sister unexpectedly passed away and several weeks of emergency care. Archer has so much personality and greets me every day after work and sleeps snuggled under the blankets with me every night.
From the moment I get home Archer is stuck to me like glue, he always wants to be where I am. He has 2 other cats that he plays with while I'm not home. He has such a big personality and so much love to share. Every night when I go to sleep he patiently waits for me to lift the blankets so he can crawl under and sleep right under my chin.
Archer is very vocal and has a way of letting you know what he wants and when he wants it. When I'm out of sight he calls for me until we are reunited again. He has a very loud purr that is always going from the moment you look at him. He is so gentle and loves falling asleep having his paws massaged. He loves being held and cradled.
Last month in mid February Archer started showing signs of urinary discomfort, a prompt trip to the vet revealed a urinary blockage. A catheter, antibiotics and a stay overnight was all he needed, the following week he went back to the vet for a progress check with another round of antibiotics. Today he is back at the vet with another blockage and an overnight stay.
In February 2023 at 15 my first cat suddenly declined in health and I had to say goodbye, in September 2023 Archer's sister was diagnosed with hemolytic immune anemia that resulted in emergency care that could not save her life. These 2 losses cost around $6,000.
