Ares is a 7 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Arrington, VA, who needs $2,000 for Cushing's Disease.

Ares is a 7-year-old terrier mix. We say we rescued him, but really he rescued our family. He lives with his dad, grandmother, aunt, and 3 other dogs.

In just weeks, Ares went from playful to critically ill—drinking nonstop, losing weight, then suddenly refusing food, water, and even going outside. He was rushed to the ER in critical condition. Though now stable, vets believe he may have Cushing’s disease and will need lifelong care.

He has the sweetest soul. He’s playful, loving, and just a little mischievous—especially when it comes to sneaking off with the other dogs’ favorite “babies” (toys). What really shows who Ares is at heart is this: when one of his dog siblings was sick, Ares gently brought her toy back to her, as if he knew she needed comfort. That’s the kind of love he gives daily.

We are on a fixed income. His bill is already over $1800. We have applied for financial aid and credit but haven't had any luck yet. We are doing the research and trying to find a way to save him.
