Ares was a rescue dog I got as a birthday gift for my son.We got him from a rehoming site on the internet. when he first arrived he seemed scared and unsure. As time went on he became a part of the family. We even dress him up sometimes... He loves to hike in the summer and chase birds. Toss ing and turning in the grass is fun too!He is well behaved and sweet.

Ares greets us in the morning with a happy tail wagging. he has a bed downstairs in our dining room and another upstairs in my room. he follows me everywhere, even to the bathroom in the middle of the night. he always lets us know someone is approaching the house by barking loudly. he helps us feel safe.

Ares will sing for meat, I found this out one day when I was holding a roast chicken and he began to ohhhhh! I thought it was cute so I videoed him. he also growls when we play tug. he loves his toys and has a bin for his toys..He is just so lovable and sweet. He is a good boy. He touches his leash when he needs to go out, he nudges you, and points his head to the kitchen if he wants more food.

Last year Ares had a tumor removed from his leg. We are so happy he made it through that procedure. Now he has excess fluid in his belly, his lungs, and around his heart. we need to run tests and do a tap to remove the excess fluid. the doctor estimates a minimum of two thousand dollars.

The last procedure tapped my saving and he still needs more. I don't want to lose my fur baby just because money is tight. I also don't want him to suffer in pain. I feel trapped in this situation and it's breaking my heart, not to mention my 3 children who love Ares.
