About this campaign

Ari is my third German Shepherd, but he is my first rescue. I saw a post on Facebook in March 2025 looking for someone to take him. I went to see him and you could tell he wasn’t used to living outside in a cage. He was confused and scared. The people I got him from said he had belonged to a 70 year old woman. He had gotten to be too much for her to handle so her family got rid of him.

Ari was hit by a passing motorcycle. Luckily the driver of the motorcycle didn't wreck and wasn't hurt. The vet informed me that Ari had a broken right femur and presented two options: repair with pins or amputation. We had to move Ari to MedVet, it turned out Ari had a pneumothorax (collapsed lung) and required ICU care overnight and the following day.

His best buddy is a little yellow dog named Tony, his worst enemy is our cat RJ.

I am divorced and it is just Ari, RJ & Myself. Ari gives me peace of mind knowing that he isn't going to let anyone in our house. I was lucky to have a friend that was able to help me with the bills so that I could get Ari treated but I need to pay him back.
