So for some background infomation on my pet Armani, ive had him since he was 5 weeks old. Hes 9 years old now. He is a Cane Corso. He usually weighs around 140 lbs, but hes been losing weight from his medical conditions. Hes always lived with me through our journey together. We have a 6 and 8 year old children who adore him.

Armani has always been a part of our family, hes not just a pet. Hes a part of us. He pretty much has run of the house, he gets to sleep and lay wherever he likes. He loves to go on car rides and walks. Hes always loved the snow, but hates the rain. His favorite game to play is tug of war, which he is normally the winner. He does enjoy chasing a ball around but he doesnt like to give it up.

Ive been paying for all armanis medical expenses out of pocket. His medications alone have been very expensive. Ive really done all that i can. All the expenses have just become extremely hard to keep up with.

So Armani was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy, which is a swollen heart. He also has congestive heart failure, and atrial fibrillation, which is an abnormal heartbeat. Hes always been very healthy his whole life, and all these problems came out of nowhere. Hes had to go to a cardiologist several times and hes on quite a bit of medication. Hes still a very happy and normal acting dog though.

Our nickname we have for Armani is "big pig". He just reminds me of a pig because hes always snorting and making a mess. He always has a way of getting your attention. Sometimes he will come lay his giant head right on your lap, or put his head under your hand if hes wanting an ear scratch. Sometimes he will just come stare at you with his big sad eyes.
