About this campaign
Nine years ago, a neighbor knocked on my door and asked me if I wanted a cat, as she had a litter of kittens she was trying to find homes for. The loss of my previous cat was still fresh but something inside still made me say yes. Fast forward to now, we live together in a home owned by my boyfriend. I really try to give him the best indoor cat life possible.
Artemis is everyone's favorite in the household. He is always just so sweet and loving. He would never dream of biting or scratching you, ever. He is the most gentle cat I've ever met. He never fails to bring a smile to your face. Just by looking at him, he'll start to purr and is very fond of cuddles. At night, he loves to play and chase my other cat jumping from couch to couch.
I am looking at thousands of dollars in vet bills. What is here is just the tip of the iceberg for his lifelong illness. I am young and without any support, but decided it was worth keeping him alive in any way I could.
Currently, Artemis is in the hospital. He was diagnosed with diabetes and might possibly have kidney disease and perhaps some neurological issues. He is currently in a very severe state and had to be rehydrated with an IV of fluids and insulin therapy. We are already on day two of hospitalization and this could go on possibly the entire week, according to the vet.
Artemis is a chonky boy and is very goofy and clumsy. He always likes to be the center of attention. If you're trying to read a book, he would stand on the book in your book as if nothing were in your hands. He would let you use him as a pillow and purr while you were doing it, he is so sweet and unbothered.
