Arthur is only one year old, but he has already experienced more cruelty than any animal ever should. This stunning young Persian cat was abandoned on the streets of Egypt, where life for a defenseless pet can be unimaginably harsh. Instead of finding kindness, Arthur became the victim of abuse. By the time rescuers found him, he was suffering from devastating injuries that left him in constant pain.
Arthur has a broken jaw that makes it difficult and painful for him to eat, and one of his eyes has been so severely damaged that it has ruptured. Both injuries require surgery to relieve his pain and give him the chance to heal.
Despite everything he has endured, Arthur has never stopped trusting people. He greets his caregivers with gentle affection, leans into every pet, and purrs as though he still believes that humans can be kind. His sweet personality shines through every moment, reminding everyone who meets him that his spirit remains unbroken, even though his body has suffered so much.
Arthur deserves more than survival. He deserves to eat without pain, to recover from his injuries, and to experience what every young cat should know—a safe home filled with love instead of fear.

After everything this beautiful one-year-old Persian has endured, Arthur is doing so well. Seeing him make progress is a reminder of just how strong this little boy truly is.
Most importantly, Arthur is eating so well on his own! After suffering with a broken jaw that made eating painful and difficult, watching him eat independently is an incredible milestone.
But Arthur’s recovery isn’t quite finished yet. His next step will be having his stitches removed and the wire removed from his jaw, now that his jaw has healed. His veterinary team will continue monitoring him closely as he moves forward in his recovery.
Arthur has already come so far, but his medical journey has been extensive, and we still need your help to cover his ongoing veterinary care.
