Ashi came into my life five years ago as a puppy and quickly became my constant companion. For three years it was just me and him hiking Stone Mountain, taking long walks, and doing everyday life together. In early January, Ashi suddenly became very sick. After X-rays and an ultrasound at our local vet, we were referred to UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital for advanced testing. Doctors initially suspected B-cell lymphoma. While one test created uncertainty, Ashi is now undergoing a bone marrow biopsy to confirm whether this is cancer or severe inflammation.

Ashi has a rare soul. He’s playful, protective, and deeply loyal. He alerts us when someone approaches our home, comforts us when we’re struggling, and gently wakes me at night with kisses when he needs to go outside. He loves people, adventures, and family time. Ashi isn’t “just a dog” — he is family. He has given me unconditional love. Now I’m asking for help to give him the chance he deserves.
