About this campaign
Aspen came into my life when she was 8 weeks old. Friends and family raised money for me to get Aspen as my service animal. I made a promise to aspen when I got her that I would do life with her no matter what came our way. Aspen has always been there for me through sickness. I cannot imagine living life without my best friend. She has saved my life!
Aspen is a very loving and social pup. She is well-loved by all who know her. She loves when people give her love and especially loves her tips to her grandmas house. Aspen loves to go on walks and loves to play puzzle games to work for treats. She has her favorite toys that she likes to pick out of her toy basket and bring mom to play with. She cuddles up every night with mom in bed.
Aspen is a loyal, spunky, intelligent and very particular "princess". She has an ability to communicate her needs non-verbally that I question if she is a dog sometimes lol. She communicates from tapping her little paws on the ground repeatedly while making grunting noises at me to giving "nose boops". She has a special ability to alert to my PTSD and calm me back down in times of high stress.
Aspen was diagnosed with liver disease of unknown causation. Her primary vet at Atrium Animal Hospital has referred her out to be seen by a specialty vet at Carolina Veterinarian Specialists for further testing which will at minimum include an ultrasound with a high possibility for a liver biopsy along with ongoing treatments/supportive care.
Time is of the essence. I am on disability myself so I am low-income. I am not able to financially afford further medical care for aspen. I also do not qualify for any other Financial help. She also now does not qualify for pet insurance.
