Asteroid is a Blue Merle Great Dane. 3 years old and born on 11/15/20 in Ohio. He is about 130 lbs. He has a sensitive stomach so he mostly eats dry kibble but he loves his oxtail bones and doggy ice cream cups every now and then.

Asteroid is a gentle giant, he loves resting in the living room and just outside the bathroom near the cold tiles. We have a 2 year old baby boy in the house now and him and Asteroid have been the best of buddies. Really impressed with how gentle, loving, and patient Asteroid has been with a new baby in the house. He loves fetching rubber balls his brother throws for him and cuddling together.

Asteroid loves jumping super high while on his walks to the park. Once at the park he loves running in the open fields and playing with other dogs. He used to get bullied by all the other dogs when he was a little puppy but now he is all grown and holds his own! Asteroids Grandpa spoils him and takes him to the park at least twice a day.

Asteroid had a few ear infections that we treated with antibiotics, steroids, & ear cleanings. This is now the third time he has gotten the infection & the vet said it will keep coming back unless he gets surgery. The infection has caused scarring in his ear canal which they have to remove surgically. We have given up on treating the infection with antibiotics and want to nip this problem for good

My husband is currently the only employed member of our household as I am full time student & mother. Our expenses have been harder to deal with as we were not eligible for any student loans or programs to assist with pet healthcare. Trying to ease a big financial burden.
