Astra's world was turned upside down when her owner passed away. Confused and alone, she found herself at a local county shelter.

Astra is suffering from a heart murmur and ringworm, a fungal infection that causes itchiness, scabs, and hair loss. Patches of her gorgeous black fur are missing, but this was the least of Astra's worries.

At only six years old, she was placed on the euthanasia list. Adopt A Cat Foundation pulled Astra from the county shelter determined to give her a second chance at life. She is now receiving medications for the ringworm and will soon be getting an echo cardiogram to determine whether her heart murmur needs further treatment.
