Athena is a 3 month old German Shepherd Dog in Camarillo, CA, who needs $2,000 for Parvo Treatment.

I saw a picture of 2 mo old Athena posted on a FB page for our area that her family was had to rehome her. I met her on 06/10/24 and she was just the most amazing, sweet little girl. The family had five children and living out of a 5th wheel trlr and Athena was by herself in an outdoor pin with snakes and coyotes in the area.

Athena appeared to be malnourished, was vomiting and diarrehea so I took her straight to the vet. She weighed in at only 8.9 lbs and was so lethargic. The vet came back that she had a strong test of parvo. Athena was immediately treated via iv and was transferred to the hospital for 24-hour around the clock care last night.

We have not gotten a chance to spend much time with Athena because of how sick she was, but she is the most sweetest little girl and we cannot wait to bring her into our home once she's better with our dog Chloe whom we've had for 6.5 years (who is completely spoiled).

I had major spinal fusion surgery on 4/01/24 and have unfortunately been off work due to that so we are pretty much on a fixed income. We've used all the emergency funds that we have to pay for the treatment that Athena is undergoing as we knew we had to help her.
