About this campaign

She was a rescue from outside. Athena was the last of her litter to survive from a cat mom found outside my parent's home. Her name is based on the Greek goddess, and her new sister she hasn't been able to meet yet due to her complications is named after another Greek goddess Persephone.

We got her diagnosed 4 weeks ago with urinary crystals. We have been to several vets and had to bring her into an emergency vet over the weekend because she was unable to pee by herself. She had constipation with an enema, a UTI, and a urinary blockage. We have done X-rays, ultrasounds, blood work, put in a urinary catheter, and we are still unable to get her to pee. Next steps are an MRI.

She just recently got a younger sister that they haven't been able to meet yet. Athena loves to be around people. She follows us wherever we go in the home and chirps at us about her day. She loves to play, and we spend multiple hours every day with different toys or games she likes. Furthermore, she loves playing with ping pong balls or mini rubber footballs.

We have fixed income, and we are running out of normal veterinary resources to find out what is wrong with her bladder. Unfortunately, in the state of Iowa they do not have the resources for an MRI machine so we would need to travel to other states to continue diagnostics.
