Once Someone’s Beloved Pet, Atlas Was Found Injured, Dehydrated, and Alone — He Needs Urgent Veterinary Care

Atlas was once someone’s pet, a dog who knew what it meant to belong. But when we found him, he was alone on a busy main road in Karachi, curled up behind a concrete pillar as traffic screamed past. He was wounded, starving, and dangerously dehydrated. There was no shelter, no food, no comfort, just confusion in his eyes and exhaustion in his body.

We don’t know how long Atlas had been out there, but we know he wouldn’t have lasted much longer. The moment we offered him food, he devoured it right inside the rescue van, desperate and grateful all at once. And then, as he began to realize he was safe, Atlas did something that stopped us in our tracks: he gently reached out his paw, as if to say thank you.

Now safe at ACF Animal Rescue, Atlas is beginning to heal. He’s eating regular meals, receiving medical treatment for his wounds, and settling into the comfort of clean blankets and kind hands. The fear is still in his eyes, but so is hope, and that’s something worth fighting for.

Atlas is doing so much better. His sad eyes have turned happy as he has become more comfortable, especially with the animal care manager. His wounds are healing and he is gaining weight. He is finally starting to relax after everything he has been through.
