I have had Atlas since he was a kitten at four months old. We have had eight wonderful years together and he's been my rock through everything. Words can't express my love for him and what he means to me. He has gotten me through significant relationship abuse, living alone together....no matter what my living situation was he was there with me. This cat means more to me than anything in my life

Atlas loves chowing down on catnip and taking lazy naps by the window. He loves car rides and belly rubs , and takes over the laps of anyone he meets. He has a very playful demeanor and if you start to act "sneaky" he will hunt and chase you around the house until it ends in laughter and head nudges.

I am a single person supporting myself and don't have a very high income. The bills have gotten very high and possibly more. No amount of money matters to me if I can't save his life

Atlas was admitted to west vet hospital two days ago for severely labored breathing, lethargy, no appetite. They found a massive amount of liquid in his lungs and he was diagnosed with cylothorax. At the moment we are still waiting for tests results from his lung fluid to see what the underlying cause could be. Heart disease has been ruled out, if they can't find anythjng Atlas will need surgery,

Atlas had so much sass and confidence but is such a gentle giant. If I can't find him he will be guaranteed to be hiding in the smallest nook in the house. When he isn't hiding under blankets and boxes he will be sprawled out on his back, arms and legs ready to get his belly rubbed. He has never bitten anyone in his life.
